Who we are and our mission . . .

The Charlotte County SPCA Animal Shelter is based in Saint Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada.

The CCSPCA was established in 1998 with a mission to work towards providing a safe haven for the abandoned, neglected, and abused cats and dogs of Charlotte County. Our shelter opened on October 4, 2008.

The shelter operates on a triage system to assist those who contact us. We work with county animal control agencies, and provincially, with the NBSPCA to provide space for animals who have no other place to go. We also counsel families about services and options available for their pets and accept animals surrendered by owners when we have the capacity to assist.

We have partnerships with all veterinary clinics in the county to ensure that our animals are health checked, receive routine vaccines and treatment, are spayed and/or neutered, and are kept comfortable while they await their new families. Every animal adopted has had a basic health check with a veterinarian.

We provide outreach programs, such as Casey’s Cupboard and LI-SNAP to help people and pets in need.
